The new S3 rod series from Wychwood Specialists has been built using ultra-thin blanks featuring 3K carbon weave throughout. Designed in-house in the UK, this new series of rods has been developed for the specialist barbel angler.
Using the finest Toray carbon, we have applied a natural sanded matt finish throughout to prevent any glare or flash from the blank that might spook fish in clear water. The blanks feature a classic olive-green tip section with black trim and a matching solid olive-green double handle, complemented by a DPS reel seat. The rods also feature high-quality sea guides throughout. The lighter double-tip rods have soft tips for easy bite detection, which is essential when fishing with greater finesse. Moving up the range, the rods become more powerful and are ideal for long-distance fishing on lakes or for tackling rivers when they are carrying extra water.
