carp fishing floats
carp fishing floats

carp fishing floats

There are many different types of floats available, whether for commercial carp fishing or coarse fishing.

But between these techniques and approaches, the floats themselves make a real difference. More robust, with a smaller keel, often made of plastic, and a more buoyant antenna, carp floats are generally stronger and more durable.

Since carp are powerful fish, floats have had to be adapted to them. This is especially true for fishing close to the bank or using paste bait, which is a more aggressive technique.

There's also diversity in the approach, with the bait used: corn, maggots, pellets on rings, paste, etc. All of this comes with a range of weights and different sensitivity levels.
