1kg Black River Groundbait - SONUBAITS
Natural Black River is a dark, heavy mix with strong binding properties. This means it is perfect for use on feeders or for casting into the water on rivers. Being heavy means it will sink straight to the bottom before breaking up. It is a slow-acting groundbait that is ideal for carrying other baits such as chopped maggots and roach to the bottom, or it can be added to other groundbaits to make them heavier and bind better for fishing in faster currents or deeper water.
Natural Black River is easy to mix. Empty the 1kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a maggot tub with 1 pin of water, pour it over the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during which time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. Then, for best results, to remove any lumps and create a uniform consistency, pass the groundbait through a sieve and it is ready to use.
When fishing, the sun and wind can dry out the groundbait a little. To combat this, you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or, if it dries out, simply add a little more water and mix again.
