Description
When fisheries specialist Andy Bennett joined the Mainline Match team at the beginning of the year, he was keen to create his own groundbait mix for coarse and feeder fishing, and that's how Bagga Mix was born!
This groundbait is made from a blend of different pellets with varying fishmeal and oil contents, giving it its characteristic fishmeal and pellet smell.
On closer inspection, you can see the different colours and particles of various pellets in this mix.
The grinding process is also important, giving the mix a grainy but homogeneous texture, which makes it very easy to prepare and use.
All the particles absorb water very well, which helps the bait to swell properly, but at the same time, and this is an important point for Bagga, it sinks very quickly, which means you can use it in any form to keep the fish feeding on the bottom.
It can be formed into a hard or soft ball, but it is very effective when baited in a ‘sandcastle’ style or packed into a tip cup.
It is equally effective when moulded around a Method or Hybrid feeder, breaking down quickly and evenly.
Bagga Mix has a very attractive neutral golden colour regardless of water clarity, and is set to become a very popular versatile commercial bait for all species of fish, particularly carp, F1 and bream.
