The Acolyte Distance Feeder 12ft rod is designed for long distance fishing and is capable of casting big feeders while maintaining its fishing action.


This extremely powerful rod is capable of long distance casting with feeders up to 3oz (85g). With the right technique, distances approaching 80m can be achieved with remarkable accuracy.


Many other ‘Distance Feeder’ models end up being unbalanced and overloaded, and in some cases look more like surfcasting rods than feeder rods!

As a result, they lose tactile contact and sensation when fighting the fish and lead to more stalls.


Working with five-time world champion Alan Scotthorne, top international competitive anglers Steve Hemingray and Darren Davies, and England Feeder team manager Dean Barlow, we have extensively field tested and modified various prototype Acolyte Distance Feeder in the UK and Ireland.


The finished model successfully combines the classic requirements of the Feeder rod in terms of bite detection, sensitivity, feeling of play with the fish and balance with a very long distance cast.

It also represents excellent value for money compared to other models, some of which are more than double the price!


Optimum main line from 6lb to 10lb (2.7kg to 4.5kg) or a braid of 0.08 to 0.12mm. Oversized guides help the use of shock leaders to gain the required distance. The rod is supplied with 3oz, 4oz and 5oz carbon tips, which are also available separately with 2.5oz test curves.

The Acolyte Distance Feeder 14ft rod is designed for extra long distance fishing and is capable of casting big feeders while maintaining its fishing action.


This extremely powerful rod is capable of casting extra long distances with large feeders up to 4.5oz (125g).

With the right technique, distances approaching 100m can be achieved with remarkable accuracy.

This rod is the perfect tool for fishing big rivers where you cast big feeders in the strong current and need to keep as much line out of the water as possible.
