Description

Stable float

running waters and rivers

Although these floats have similar properties to the Skimmer in terms of shafts, bristles and sensitivity, it is the body shape that sets them apart, with these having a much rounder profile. This gives the float ultimate stability and allows it to be easily controlled in flowing water conditions, perfect for use on rivers.

The shape of the body means the float can be held static or held against the current to achieve a certain type of presentation in moving water, slowing the bait without the float body rising out of the water. Due to the rounder body shape of this model, if the line passes around the outside of the body at a sharp angle, it can damage the line, especially when moving the float up or down. To overcome this problem, these floats feature an in-line system with a small piece of silicone running through the float, completely eliminating damage to the line.

Metal shank versions of the float are suitable for situations where stability is a priority, allowing you to keep a bait super stable and static even in rough and windy conditions. The carbon rod version is better suited to fast fishing situations where reducing tangles is a priority during a quick expedition in and out, or when looking to catch fish on the drop, allowing the float to "follow" the shot downward as it falls through the water. The carbon itself is thin for ultimate performance, cutting through water cleanly so you don't have any annoying delays when skimming over the surface on calm days.

Available sizes (metal shaft and carbon shaft): 0.5g, 0.75g, 1g, 1.5g, 2g, 2.5g, 3g, 4g.

The Guru Natural Post Float Range Explained:

This particular line of floats has been in development for a long time, we're pretty sure you've seen various samples used by our consultants and in films for quite a while now! However, we have constantly refined and expanded the range during the design and production phase to produce a comprehensive collection of floats suitable for a diverse range of work on natural sites across rivers, canals and still waters. Finally, they have arrived!

The range includes eight different models covering many shapes and sizes, all with specific uses in different situations. You will no doubt have noticed that the floats have been thoroughly tried and tested by our team of international anglers, with the likes of Matt Godfrey, James Dent, Steve Ringer, Frankie Gianoncelli and Andy Bennett all contributing to their production. Much attention and many modifications have been made to the lengths and diameters of the shafts and bristles, so that each size is unique and perfect for the situation at hand.

The key feature that sets this range of floats apart from anything we or others have ever produced before is the Elastilex paint finish, which gives the floats ultimate strength, durability and longevity. This finish means the float's high-quality balsa bodies are protected by an ultra-thin, incredibly durable elastic coating that wraps around the body, preventing any damage to the body from wear, impact or line cuts, reducing the risks of the floats taking on water. The paint finish is dark in color, which our leading anglers said was important since these floats were used on light, natural sites, with the dark body blending into the water allowing for ultimate focus on the high visibility bristles.

Features :
• Round body profile
• Ultimate stability
• In-line system to avoid damage to the line
• Carbon and wire versions
